Day 1: Welcome Havana

  • Pick up at Airport and transfer to your accommodation.
     

  • Check-in Casa Particular Havana.
     

  • City Tour Old Havana. (4 - 5 Hours) 
    Walking tour of the Historic Centre of Old Havana (UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site), San Francisco de Asis Square, Plaza Vieja. Return along Mercaderes Street to the hotel Ambos Mundos with a visit to the room used by the American writer Ernest Hemingway, Plaza de Armas, Cathedral Square and panoramic tour to bar-restaurant La Bodeguita del Medio.  View Details.

  • Fusterlandia
    Visit the fishing town of Jaimanitas where the Cuban artist Fuster has decorated over 80 houses with ornate murals and domes to suit the personality of his neighbours. Fuster’s art is a cherished part of Cuban culture and joins the ranks of other public artworks such as that of Gaudi in Barcelona or that of Brancusi in the Romanian city of Targu Jiu.
     

  • Callejon de Hamel
    Visit this Socio-Cultural project where the Cuban artist Salvador has transformed this alleyway from a slum area to an enthusiastic Afro-Cuban centre full of sculptures made of scrap objects like bathtubs, hand pumps, pinwheels etc., and where the murals are made of different kinds of available paint, including car enamel.
    If this day it's Sunday we invite you to join us at noon in a big party with rumba and other afro-Cuban performances, also every Friday you will find Cuban music on the street.
